Mort's world
The Morts will inherit the earth. So it is written. In thousands of lines of unwieldy code with a shelf life somewhere between that of J-Lo's current spouse and heartland sushi. It's out there, man is it out there.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen an existing ASP classic app in a long time where I went wow, that's really clean and wouldn't make me want to psychically pull my hair out. I think it depends where you look, but I know I've seen about 7 really nasty ASP + COM apps in a row. Maybe I'm a glutton for pain for loving web clients so much, who knows.
But the point is that the Morts of the world are out there--and really, all of us are part Mort. (Caveat/aside: and one can never know the true nature of their Mortness, self examination will dramatically understate one's level of Morticity. I'm at least half Mort, I should know.)
Still the same, it's Mort's world, I just live in it.
